Healthy Babies
Keeping your baby healthy can be a daunting task even for an experienced parent. Setting aside the thoughts to place your baby in a "bubble" to protect them from everything, there are a few simple things you can do to try to keep your baby as healthy as possible and try to prevent any future illnesses. Keep in mind this is not intended as medical advice, just some simple, common sense thoughts. You MUST consult your physician for any concerns.
- Pay attention to is holding your baby, or caring your baby for that matter. If that person is sick, their germs could transfer to your baby. Also, staying away from large crowds especially during cold and flu season would probably be a good idea as well.
- Wash your hands before picking up your baby. I know this sounds like it would be hard to remember, but once you get into the habit, its easy. It will also help you with your health as well. People dont think about how dirty money and doorknobs can be.
- Be sure your baby has all regularly scheduled check ups and immunizations. You should contact your pediatrist if you are unsure of anything or have any questions.
