Infant Clothing
Your new infant will be much easier to dress and undress with clothing that have snaps. Clothing that has snaps open in the front are your friends. Stay away as much as possible from "over the head" clothes. They can be a nightmare when trying to dress a newborn

Baby Powder
Short on baby powder? If you have cornstarch around the house, it works very well as a replacement for baby powder. You may even end up preferring it to baby powder. I did!

Warm that Bottle Up!
You dont have to have a fancy bottle warmer (unless someone gives one to you). Just put a little warm water in a small cup and set the bottle in it. It will do the trick. Just make sure you shake the bottle up to even otu the temperature and make sure it is not too hot before giving it to your baby. My babies didnt need warm formula; room temperature was just fine for them.

Diaper Pail Odor
A good way to eliminate that stinky diaper pail odor is by throwing in a couple of good smelling dryer sheets. It will help the diaper pail to smell fresh.

Clipping Baby's Nails
When clipping a baby's finger and toenails, try to do it while they are asleep. Since the baby is asleep and probably motionless it will be much easier and helps to prevent any clipping accidents.

For Names Using a Suffix
If you are going to use a suffix, for example, John Charles Carter, III, you may want to consider calling the baby by his middle name (Charles) if there are other family members already being called John, or consider calling the baby by his initials, such as J.C. This will help to avoid confusion.

If you are stuck on 2 names, consider combining the two. An example: If you are stuck on Carla and Leigh, consider combining the two names to form Carly (or Carleigh)

Consider popularity. Names that are popular today, may not be popular 20 years from now when your child is 20. Consider the trendiness of the name today.
