When trying to keep your newborn baby's nails trimmed, I know this is going to sound weird, but the easiest way might be to bite them off yourself. A friend of mine did this with her daughter and said it worked out better than nail clippers becuase she had more control. This is odd to me, but apparently effective for some new mothers.
